1.1   TACSI (TACSI ANDROID APP, TACSI IOS APP, AND ALL TACSI WEBSITES) is owned and operated by TACSI LIMITED (the “Company”). The Company understands the importance of protecting your personal information and is committed to processing it responsibly and in compliance with applicable data protection laws in the UK.

1.2   Please read this Privacy Policy (“Policy”) carefully and make sure you understand it. The Policy and any other documents referred to therein applies to you (“you,” “User,” “Driver”), the user of the (www.thetacsi.com), the TACSI Mobile App, and any services provided through the Website and/or the TACSI Mobile App (“Services”).

1.3   The Policy explains what personal information about you is collected and processed through the Website and/or the Mobile App. It further explains that personal information about you collected and processed by TACSI LIMITED and any of TACSI subsidiaries and affiliates companies acting on TACSI LIMITED’s behalf (collectively “we,” “us,” or “our”) when you access, view, or use the Services to request transportation.

1.4   By agreeing to the terms of this Policy, you give your affirmative consent that we can collect, use, disclose, and process your personal information and other information for the purposes and in the manner indicated herein and in terms of use.

1.5   Any use of this terminology or other words in the singular, plural, capitalisation is taken as interchangeable and therefore referring to the same.

1.6   For the Data Protection Act 2018 (“the Act”) and the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (the “GDPR”), the data controller is TACSI.

2.1 TACSI is a mobile platform dedicated to connecting passengers and taxi operators through transportation bookings. TACSI operates in the UK under company number SC681138.

5.0    WHAT DOES THIS POLICY COVER?

5.1   This Policy applies to your use of our Services. Please note that TACSI LIMITED has no control over how your data is collected, stored, or used by other websites whose links may be available on TACSI LIMITED’s Website, Mobile Apps. TACSI LIMITED advises you to check any such websites’ privacy policies before providing any data to them.

6.0    HOW TACSI LIMITED COLLECTS PERSONAL INFORMATION

6.1 TACSI LIMITED will usually collect personal information about you

  1. a) During your use of the website, the Mobile App, and/or Services, such as:

1) Personal Information you enter when registering for our Services: including your full name, email address, phone number, payment method, billing information, profile picture, information about your vehicle (the registration number, model, year of manufacture, and colour of the vehicle), driver’s license data.

2) Information you provide in your profile preferences, to customer support services, or that you post on any forums or message boards in the Mobile App.

  1. b) When you communicate with TACSI LIMITED, passengers, or with other drivers using the Services.

7.0    PERSONAL DATA COLLECTED

7.1   Depending upon your use of our Services, TACSI LIMITED may collect some or all of the following:

  1. a) Personally identifiable information includes full name, Date of birth, Gender, Address, Email address, Profile picture, government identification numbers such as driver’s license or passport if required by law, Telephone number, and other information choose to provide.
  2. b) Vehicle and Driving informationincludes information about the vehicle (the registration number, model, year of manufacture, and colour of the vehicle), driver’s license data, and driving history and information linked to such information.
  3. c) User profile informationincludes your username and password, address, photo, and signature. It also consists of the preferences and settings you enable on your account.
  4. d) Location information includes your precise or approximate location information as determined through data such as GPS coordinates of your trip (including pick-up and drop-off data), IP address, or similar information regarding the location of your mobile device. We also collect location information: when the TACSI Mobile app runs in the foreground (app open and on-screen) or background (app available but not on screen) of your device.
  5. e) Transaction Information created during your various interactions with the Mobile App and our Services. These include the type of services you provided, your order details, the date and time you provided the transportation service.
  6. f) Usage and Preference Informationincludes how you interact with the Website, Mobile App, and Our Services, preferences expressed, and chosen settings. In some cases, we do this by using cookies, pixel tags, and similar technologies that create and maintain unique identifiers.
  7. g) Service Informationincludes information about your mobile device, including, for example, the hardware model, operating system and version, software and file names and versions, preferred language, unique device identifier, advertising identifiers, serial number, device motion information, and mobile network information.
  8. h) Communication Data: We facilitate communications between drivers and passengers.
  9. i) Information collected via technology:If you are using the Website and/or Mobile App with a device other than a mobile, TACSI LIMITED may collect information from you, including your hardware model, browser type, operating system, Internet Protocol (IP), and domain name. If you are using a mobile device, TACSI LIMITED may receive your UDID or another unique identifier and mobile operating system. TACSI LIMITED may correlate this information with other Personal data we have about you.
  10. j) Anonymous informationincludes information that cannot be used to contact or identify you and is not linked to any information used to do so.
  11. k) You can access and browse certain portions of the website and download the Mobile App without disclosing your Personal Information.
  12. l) Information provided by others: TACSI LIMITED collects information that passengers and drivers provide about one another, i.e., rating.

TACSI LIMITED collects sensitive information only with individual consent to which the information relates unless permitted under the Privacy Act.

8.1 TACSI LIMITED uses your data for the necessary performance of a contract with you and because you have consented to the use of your information or because it is in TACSI LIMITED legitimate business interests to use it.

Offer, obtain, provide or facilitate insurance or financing solutions in connection with our Services;

Facilitate communications between passengers and Drivers;

to determine your eligibility to drive under the TACSI platform;

To notify you about ride demand, pricing, and service updates, and analyse usage patterns for safety and better Service.

to send or facilitate communications (i) between you and a passenger, such as estimated times of arrival (ETAs), or (ii) between you and another user at your direction in connection with your use of certain features, such as referrals, invites, or ETA sharing;

to respond to safety issues that may arise, such as accidents, disputes between You and a passenger, and requests from government authorities;

to analyse usage patterns for safety and better Service.

to help maintain the safety, security, and integrity of TACSI platform Services and users. These include but not limited to:

Screening drivers before enabling their use of our Services and at subsequent intervals, including thorough reviews of background checks were permitted by law, to prevent the use of our Services by unsafe drivers;

Using a device, location, profile, usage, and other information to prevent, detect and combat fraud or hazardous activities.

Using user ratings to encourage improvement by affected users and as grounds for deactivating users with ratings below an absolute minimum may be required in their region.

9.0    WHEN TACSI LIMITED, MAY USE YOUR INFORMATION FOR REASONS OTHER THAN THE PRIMARY SERVICES?

9.1 TACSI LIMITED may use your data collected to communicate with you. These may include: responding to emails or calls from you;

supplying you with information that you have the option to opt-out at any time;

Sharing of marketing communications about our products that we think will be of interest to you, including information about products, services, promotions, news, updates, and events, where permissible and according to applicable local laws; and to process contest, sweepstake, or other promotion entries and fulfil any related awards.

10.1 TACSI LIMITED will store your data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose(s) for which it was collected and comply with applicable laws.

10.2 TACSI LIMITED may retain specific data after receiving an account deletion request for ten years if necessary, such as to comply with legal requirements or use it for purposes of safety, security, fraud prevention, and detection, and research and development.

11.1 TACSI LIMITED keeps your personal information confidential. TACSI LIMITED takes reasonable steps to maintain your information’s security and protect it from unauthorised disclosures.

11.2 TACSI LIMITED stores your personal data in the cloud for adequate data protection. We ensure safety by limiting access to the premises outside of business hours and use password protection for the servers.

download the app and become a driver.

12.4 By becoming a driver/ subscriber, you agree to allow us to share the Personal Information you provide to us in the ways described in our Privacy Policy.

13.1 TACSI LIMITED would like to make sure you are fully aware of all of your data protection rights. TACSI LIMITED drivers are entitled to the following:

13.1.1 The right to be informed about TACSI LIMITED collection and use of your data. This Policy should tell you everything you need to know, but you can always contact TACSI LIMITED to find out more or to ask any questions;

13.1.2 The right to access the personal data we hold about you.

13.1.3 The right to have your data rectified if any of your data held by us is inaccurate or incomplete. Please contact TACSI LIMITED using the details in Section 3 to find out more.

14.2Please note that TACSI LIMITED may send you administrative emails regarding the website, Mobile App, or Services, including notices of updates to our Policy despite any indicated marketing preferences.

15.0   ACCOUNT INFORMATION UPDATE

15.1 You may correct your account information at any time by emailing us at contact@thetacsi.com. We will respond to all such requests within 30 days.

15.2 If you wish to cancel your account, please email us at contact@thetacsi.com.

15.3 If you request that your Personal Information be removed, TACSI LIMITED reserves the right to terminate and/or limit your access to the website, the Mobile App, and/or Services. In some cases, TACSI LIMITED may retain certain information about you as required by law or legitimate business purposes to the extent permitted by law. For instance, if you have a standing credit or debt on your account or TACSI LIMITED believes you have committed fraud or violated our Terms, TACSI LIMITED may seek to resolve the issue before deleting your information.
